3D-printing construction provides faster & safer homes after a disaster. Steps include designing the house, preparing the site and materials, printing the walls layer by layer, and then completing traditional construction tasks such as installing windows, doors, and finishes.
Our team will work side by side to ensure peace of mind, quality construction, and a fire, pest and earthquake resistant home:
1. Design: A blueprint is created using CAD software, specifying the house's layout, dimensions, and features like windows, doors, and plumbing.
2. Preparation: The 3D printer and necessary equipment are installed on the site, and the materials are prepared.
3. Printing: The printer lays down layers of a unique concrete mixture following the digital design and specs.
4. Post-Printing: Steel lintels are added over window and door openings, and the printer continues printing the walls, often using a concrete dryer to solidify layers.
5. Traditional Construction: After the walls are printed, standard construction activities like installing windows, doors, electrical wiring, and plumbing are installed.
6. Finishing: Interior and exterior finishes are added to complete the home.
